StoreMingle Acceptable Use Policy

Last Modified: September 16, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy is part of the Terms of Service and applies to everyone who uses StoreMingle. Capitalised terms have the meanings given there.

If you break this policy we may remove content, restrict features, suspend your account, or terminate your business's access — see §8 and the Community Guidelines, which describe the same standards in plainer language for the parts of the product where people post and broadcast.

1. Lawful use

You may use the Services only for lawful business purposes. You will comply with all laws that apply to you, including trade, export, sanctions, consumer-protection, product-safety, advertising and data-protection laws.

You will not use the Services to offer, promote or arrange the sale of anything you are not lawfully entitled to sell, or to sell into a jurisdiction where the sale would be unlawful.

2. Honest trading

You will not:

  • impersonate any person or business, or misstate your role, authority or affiliation;
  • misdescribe goods — their origin, brand, condition, authenticity, composition, certification, quantity or availability;
  • offer counterfeit, stolen, recalled or unlawfully diverted goods;
  • offer goods you do not have the right to sell, including goods subject to a distribution restriction you are bound by;
  • manipulate listings, search results, rankings, reviews, ratings or engagement metrics — including declining to publish a review of your own product because it is unfavourable, which sellers can do and must not (Terms of Service §7(g)(iii));
  • post a review or rating you did not earn through a genuine transaction, or arrange for someone else to;
  • make false claims about price, discount, savings, scarcity or demand.

3. Prohibited content

You will not create, upload, transmit, broadcast or store content that:

  • is unlawful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene or otherwise objectionable;
  • constitutes or promotes child sexual abuse material, or the exploitation of a minor in any form;
  • promotes violence, terrorism, extremism, or hatred against a person or group on the basis of a protected characteristic;
  • infringes copyright, trademark, trade secret, patent or any other intellectual property right — see the DMCA Policy;
  • violates a person's privacy or publicity rights, including publishing someone's personal information without permission;
  • depicts a real person in synthetic or manipulated media without their consent;
  • is AI-generated and presented as authentic where doing so is intended to deceive, or where law requires disclosure of AI involvement;
  • contains malware or any other harmful code.

Content that is lawful but not permitted here

StoreMingle is a wholesale trade platform used at work. Sexual content, gratuitous violence, and content promoting the recreational use of controlled substances are not permitted even where lawful.

Some categories carry conditions beyond §1. We may designate a category as restricted. Where we have, the product says so on the category itself, and what you must do to list in it — or to see what others have listed in it — is asked for there rather than set out here. A designation is not a statement that a listing is lawful, and meeting the conditions the product asks for moves no part of the duty in §1 from you to us.

What you may sell is governed by §1. You may not offer anything you are not lawfully entitled to sell, and that includes holding every licence, permit or registration your category and your buyer's jurisdiction require. We do not publish a list of permitted or prohibited categories, and nothing here certifies that a listing is lawful where it lands — that duty is the seller's.

4. Live sessions

When you broadcast or appear on air you will not:

  • capture, record, screenshot or re-transmit another participant's appearance without their permission;
  • broadcast content that would breach §3;
  • broadcast a person who has not agreed to appear;
  • use the on-air seat to harass a host, a participant or the audience;
  • play music, film or other third-party material you do not have the right to broadcast.

Being brought on air is not consent to be recorded. We do not record live sessions; see the Privacy Policy §4.1. Other participants capturing a session is prohibited by this policy and is the reason this section exists.

5. Communications

You will not:

  • send unsolicited bulk messages, chain messages, or pyramid or multi-level-marketing pitches;
  • harvest contact details from the Services for use outside the relationship they were provided for;
  • use the Services to advertise an unrelated business or to recruit users away from a genuine wholesale purpose;
  • forge headers or otherwise obscure the origin of a communication;
  • continue contacting someone after they have blocked you or asked you to stop.

Doing business off-platform is fine. We take no commission, so agreeing terms and settling payment outside the Services is expected — it is the normal way business is done here, not a workaround. The Services do not process payments between users, so there is no on-platform alternative you are avoiding. Using the Services as a mailing list is not fine.

6. Accounts and access

You will not:

  • share credentials, or let anyone use your account who is not authorized by your business;
  • create an account to evade a suspension, ban or other enforcement action;
  • create accounts in bulk or by automated means;
  • misuse another business's verification status, or present someone else's documents as your own;
  • use the Services to build a competing product.

7. Technical integrity

You will not:

  • scrape, crawl or extract data by automated means, except as we permit in writing;
  • reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to derive the source of the Services;
  • probe, scan or test the security of the Services except under a disclosure programme we publish;
  • circumvent any rate limit, access control, verification requirement or enforcement action;
  • interfere with the Services' operation, including denial-of-service attacks;
  • access non-public areas of our systems or those of our providers;
  • attempt to reach another user's account or data.

Security research has its own rules, and they are not in this document. Our Responsible Disclosure Policy sets out what testing we permit, how to report what you find, and what we promise not to do to a researcher who stays inside it. That policy is the whole of what we offer; nothing in this section adds to it. To report a vulnerability, start there.

8. Enforcement

We may act, and we are not obliged to monitor. We may review, remove, restrict or label content and suspend or terminate accounts where we reasonably believe this policy has been broken or the law requires it. We have no duty to monitor, and acting in one case does not create a duty to act in another.

Depending on severity and history we may:

remove content · issue a warning · restrict a feature · suspend an account · terminate an account and its business's access · refuse re-registration · report to law enforcement.

This is the ladder in Terms of Service §9(c), which is canonical.

We may act immediately and without prior notice where there is a risk of harm, fraud or legal exposure — and always for child sexual abuse material, which we remove and report.

Appeals. If we act against you, write to support@storemingle.com within 30 days of our notice. A person will review it and we will respond within 15 business days.

9. Reporting a violation

Report content from within the product using the report control where one exists — short-form videos, comments on them, product reviews, live sessions, messages and members. Product listings, storefronts and individual booth-chat messages do not yet carry one; report those to support@storemingle.com, as you can anything else. For copyright, follow the DMCA Policy. For security, write to security@storemingle.com.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes follow the Terms of Service §21(d).
